Chardonnay with a capital C Only the 3rd iteration of this flagship Chardonnay, James Suckling gave the 2018 vintage 95/100 points Robert Parker 94/100. Fruit was hand harvested from this 26 year old vineyard planted at the base of Te Mata peak in Havelock North.The grapes had a lovely balance of acidity and an average of 22.5 brix produced a seamless palate with citrus, peach and ginger flavours.

Wild ferment with some occasional lees sti r ring - combined with approx 30% new oak in this C hardonnay adds a bit of structure and mouth feel. Stayed in barrel for 10 months before being bottled. Vegan.
