Irache Rosé

Spanish Rosé (Rosado) is not well known in New Zealand - in style it typically sits between the classical French Provencal style (pale, crisp, dry) and the more familiar style (vibrant colour, fruity, creamy). This example comes from the Navarra region, made from Tempranillo and a little Grenache (Garnacha) grapes. It's electric salmon in colour, lively and fruity yet spicy with strawberry, cumin, cinnamon, red currant and cranberry. Dry on the palate but soft and mouth filling, and a fresh mineral finish. Suits pairing with fish, and vegetarian dishes, or just on its own
