Classic, ripe, varietal, bright and enticing bouquet of blackberry and dark roasted plum scents. Layers of oak and baking spices of clove and vanilla then a light smoky wood quality add complexity and depth. Firm and dry on the palate with a decent structure from tannins, acidity and inputs from wood and core fruits. There’s a light tobacco and wood flavour then flavours of dark plums and blackberry fruits return. Well made, dry and with plenty of length.
