The Celeste Mittens are worked from the wrist up. The thumb is worked at the end. The mittens are worked either on a long circular needle using the Magic Loop technique or on double-pointed needles.

Size guide

Use a measuring tape to measure around your hand at the knuckles. The sizes 3-6 years (6-10 years) S (M) L fit an approximate hand circumference of 14-15 (15-17) 17-18 (18-20) 20-22 cm 5½-6 (6-6¾) 6¾-7 (7-7¾) 7¾-8¾ inches.

Gauge: 22 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches in colorwork pattern on a 4 mm US6 needle

22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch on a 3.5 mm US2½ needle

Needles: 3 mm US2½ , 3.5 mm US4 and 4 mm US6 / 80 cm 32 inches circular needles if using the Magic Loop technique, or 3 mm US2½ , 3.5 mm US4 and 4 mm US6 double-pointed needles
