Indications:

Clinical evidence:

A course of antibiotics can cause a significant imbalance in the gut microbiota, reducing the diversity and abundance of microorganisms. A common side effect of treatment with antibiotics is antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD). A recent systematic review and meta-analysis found that probiotics have demonstrated efficacy for reducing the risk of AAD (0.49, 95% CI 0.36-0.66).
