Kohekohe (Dysoxylum spectabile) grows on and around our whenua – we have been watching her grow for years – building whanaungatanga with her and her support rākau.

Kohekohe works with our wharetangata - she assists with hormonal symptoms, feminine balance, menstration, menopause and PMS. Kohekohe can also help with weight loss and coughs and colds - Kohekohe clears out the lungs.

This tincture is a highly concentrated liquid extract of kohekohe leaves macerated in alcohol and distilled water over 6 weeks. Tinctures extract the plant’s active ingredients selectively and are stable and imperishable.

To take tincture, add drops directly under the tongue - this gets the active ingredients directly into the bloodstream. You can also dilute the tincture in a small amount of water or juice.

Please note Kohekohe is very bitter and is best taken diluted in water. then followed by water. and some more water. this rongoā is definitely worth the interesting taste!

Do not use during pregnancy or breast feeding - Kohekohe can decrease milk flow.
