Angiangi (Usnea Barbata) is a type of lichen that grows on trees and is an important rongoā for both the ngahere and the people - Angiangi is known as “The Lungs of the Forest" because it absorbs pollution in the ngahere; and has powerful antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial properties that effectively treat a wide range of ailments including:
