Kōkako Art Print

With long legs, dusty grey complexion, black face mask and shiny blue wattles the Kōkako hop and glide through the forest. Their beautiful and unique song cannot be mistaken for any other bird. Kōkako numbers were less than 400 breeding pairs in the 1990s, but with an extensive recovery plan, are now up around 1600 breeding pairs and rising.
