From our range of New Zealand tote bag designs. The pīwakawaka's short wings and beautiful tail fan have evolved for fast, agile flight. They are experts at catching tiny flying insects in the air and will do so without fear of people - making them a favourite of many tramping and gardening New Zealanders.
