Copper Tarata on Chain Necklace

The Tarata, or lemonwood tree is found throughout New Zealand in lowland forest. When the leaves are crushed they emit a distinctive lemony smell.  This pendant models the distinctive wave-like undulating leaf margins of the Tarata and catch the ambient light in a beautiful way when worn. They’re made by hand cutting copper, filing, sanding, soldering and patterning with a scribe. Then the classic leaf shaped sterling hooks are attached.  Chain Length: 450mm Copper Leaf:  Length: 33mm Width:17mm Copper Sterling Silver Click here for more info on Duncan Mackay and to see more of the range
