Lumorol Oil Gelling Agent

INCI: Laureth-4 (and) MIPA-Laureth Sulfate (and) Propylene Glycol LUMOROL K 5229 is a water-free surfactant blend of anionic and nonionic surfactants. This product is free of diethanolamine and was specially developed for water-free formulations such as shower oils or oil foam baths. LUMOROL provides clear shower and bath oil formulations with high levels of moisturisation and is ideal for dry and / or sensitive skin. During usage, the dilution in water causes a change into a classical white O/W emulsion, which easily rinses off and leaves a smooth and soft afterfeel on the skin. Although final products contain a high amount of oil, good foaming properties can be achieved.
A starting point formulation for preparing a gelled Shower Oil is as follows;
57% Lumorol K 5229
20% Macadamia Nut Oil
20% Sweet Almond Oil 2% Essential Oils of your choice
1% Vitamin E
100% Total

Method:

- Combine all ingredients at room temperature. Stir together slowly so as not to create bubbles.

Alternatively the essential oils can be omitted and a fragrance-free Shower Gel can be made.
