Sweet Iron Loose Ring Bradoon Jointed - 12mm

The snaffle bit is a standard jaw piece. This jawpiece has loose rings which allow the bit to move more freely in the mouth, so many horses accept this bit well. To prevent skins from getting between the moving rings, it is recommended to provide the bit with bit rings. Small rings have a more direct action of the aids than larger rings. The smaller the rings, the more pressure is transferred to a smaller surface. Nice bit for a stronger horse.

The single-jointed bit has one hinge point, which puts less pressure on the tongue than with a double-jointed mouthpiece. A single jointed mouthpiece mainly acts on the layers, the side of the tongue and can also act on the palate. A single joint mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and stimulates the horse's saliva production in a natural way. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-grey.
