Koru Heart Pounamu Pendant

- Luke Leaf

A pounamu koropepe is a Māori carving of an eel-like creature. It is often worn as a pendant or necklace and is considered a symbol of strength, guidance, and protection.

The koru is a stylized spiral shape that is a prominent motif in Māori art and design. It is inspired by the unfurling frond of the silver fern, a native New Zealand plant.

To Māori people, the koru has a variety of symbolic meanings such as New beginnings and growth, Strength and resilience, Family and genealogy, Eternal life and spirituality

Based in Queenstown, Aotearoa, Luke Leaf creates stunning pounamu carvings which are inspired by natural organic forms, and a mix of both modern and contemporary designs.

This pendant comes bound on an adjustable cord which enables an optimal length to be chosen.
