Wax Eye w/ Glasses - Giclée Print

Wax Eye w/ Glasses Olivia Wirepa

The Wax Eye (Silver Eye or Tauhou) is a small bird that is thought to have self-migrated to New Zealand in the early 1800s. It is a flocking bird that flits about through the bushes but is also capable of making longer flights. The Wax Eye is a monogamous bird, smaller than the sparrow. It has beautiful olive-green feathers on its head & wings & a distinctive white circle around its eyes.
