Hectorina enjoys weaving all disciplines of raranga and whatu and has worked for many years as pouako here at New Zealand Maori Arts.

Her current role as Matanga Kaiwhatu sees her relish the challenge and complexities of design and various techniques within her art form.

Hectorina feels extremely fortunate and privileged to have crossed paths with, forged friendships, and simply been inspired by the many different beautiful talented weavers throughout her journey over the years.
