Beautiful coloured Rimu Pounamu Manaia, carved locally. This piece is inspired by a Theo Schoon design.

The Manaia a strong protective talisman, with the head of a bird, body of a man and a tail of a fish makes an impressive spiritual guardian.

Pounamu or Greenstone is regarded as a stone sacred to the gods by the Māori of New Zealand. As a Taonga -meaning treasured, and it should be worn with respect and pride. Pounamu is a gift from the heart.
