Spry Xylitol Toothpaste 141g

Spry Xylitol toothpastes are made from Xylitol, a natural sugar which helps remove harmful bacteria from the mouth. Spry toothpastes also contain minerals and extracts that help reduce plaque and soothe the gums. This toothpaste has the option of containing fluoride known to also help remineralise enamel when used daily in a toothpaste. It is flavoured with the oil of either Spearmint or Peppermint.

Chemically speaking, xylitol is not actually a sugar, but a sugar alcohol. Its molecule has five, instead of six, carbon atoms. Most bacteria and yeast in the mouth are unable to make use of xylitol in their metabolism, therefore their growth is reduced and the acid that is produced by these harmful bacteria, is also reduced. Xylitol when used regularly has been shown to help to reduce the risk of tooth decay.
