Bearberry is a most useful urinary antiseptic and has a long history of traditional use. Arbutin is the main active constituent although the tannins also significantly help the symptomology of a urinary tract infection. Arbutin is converted into hydroquinone and its esters in the kidney tubules which is why it is considered a urinary antiseptic.

Bearberry is found in our Bladder tea alongside other soothing and antiseptic herbs. This herb should only be used to treat and prevent UTI’s and shouldn’t be used on a long term basis
