Karearea, Falcon - "Fern #2"

Raised in captivity by a pair of Eastern Falcons housed at Wingspan in Rotorua. Fern arrived at the Marlborough Falcon Trust in February 2012 with her brother Swoop.

She has been trained to be one of our main advocacy falcons, is quite at home visiting schools, community groups and many events.

She is very endearing and has helped greatly by raising public awareness about the plight of the New Zealand’s only remaining endemic bird of prey. www.mfct.org.nz
