An elegant long leaf design made from up-cycled glass that has been shaped, then "slumped" in our kiln, tumbled smooth and sandblasted with our leaf vein motif representing tawa leaves. You'll find the tactile nature of this cleverly curved leaf design delightful to wear and to touch. you will turn heads wearing these!
Tawa may not be as well known as the more iconic native trees like the pōhutukawa, kōwhai, rimu, cabbage tree, nīkau, , but it's long slender willow-like leaves are such a great shape for inspiring an earring design. The whole process for these fresh, free-moving earrings from design to production is done by the creative team at StoneArrow.

Tawa is a common evergreen canopy tree species growing up to 35m tall in lowland forests in the North Island and northern South Island. Growing dark red-plum fruit the size of an olive, the kererū is integral to it's seed dispersal. As the "heavy-weight" of our native seed dispersers, its the only bird big enough to eat them and pass the seeds unharmed!
Designed in-house by StoneArrow team members.
