I am present - a large original painting

'I am strong, I am healthy, I am calm, I am relaxed, I am patient, I am present, I am kind, I am abundant, I am love'

Inspired by a trip to Japan and how I grew through the experience led me to find daily affirmations as a way of guiding my journey. Forever searching for comfort within myself I would say these affirmations each morning upon waking. And I still do. Except I have paired them with the landscape from my favourite mountain walk behind my home. As I recite each affirmation I look out on a specific land form for each affirmation ( I am strong, I am healthy, I am calm) and then transition across the lake ( I am calm, I am relaxed) then move my eyes up the steep slope of the closest mountain across the lake ( I am patient, I am present) imagining I am climbing up the ridgeline and after traversing the top my view comes full circle back to where I started with 'I am love'
I started saying these affirmations on this particular walk many years ago and even now if I'm alone I will always pause and speak them to the landscape.
