NZ Made Kiwi Bird Glass Plate and Stand

This Made Kiwi Bird Glass Plate and Stand is part of a New Zealand Stamp Design range.

The Kiwi Glass Plate is about 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8"), and comes with a matching stand.

The Stamped Range pays tribute to New Zealand's past, highlighting our national treasures and immortalising them in glass.

The Kiwi needs no introduction, being both the New Zealand national bird and the nickname which New Zealanders proudly call themselves.

This Kiwi made, hand crafted, piece of glass artwork starts off as a plain piece of 5mm glass. It is cut to size and screen printed with it's intricate design. The piece is then fired in a kiln at over 800 deg Celsius where it fuses the glass print into the surface and takes on it's stippled transparent finish.

Included in the box is a stand, designed to complement the glass, ensuring that your plate is displayed in the grandeur it deserves.
