Large Full Size 36 - 37cm NZ Greenstone Mere

This very large full size 36cm to 37cm Greenstone Mere is a beautiful piece of carving.

It is extremely difficult to get hold of these large clubs, even to get large pieces of New Zealand greenstone. So if you are interested in owning this beautiful piece of pounamu, don't delay. We don't know when we will have another this size.

The mere was carved in New Zealand from New Zealand pounamu (greenstone). It has a natural, matt finish.

The wrist strap on this greenstone mere is made from plaited cord. The strap is for decorative purposes only - we do not recommend hanging the mere from its cord or holding the mere by its cord (and not the handle) as the strap may fail under the heavy weight of the mere patu. We take no responsibility if you choose to ignore these recommendations.

Purchase the mere on its own, or on a carved tulip wood stand. It is the perfect leaving or retirement gift, or for a special birthday or other occasion.

You can get the stand engraved, to mark a special occasion. The front edge of the stand can have a gold engraved plaque added, or the stand can be paua engraved. Choose up to 6 words for the engraved plaque, or up to 3 for the paua engraving. Additional words can be added for additional cost - email us if you want to add more words, and we can work out the cost. Please note that engraved items cannot be returned, aside from the unlikely event that the engraving has been done wrong. Allow a week for engraving to be done.
