Mahogany Maori Waka Hoe Paddle with Optional Stand

This Mahogany Maori Waka Hoe Paddle can be purchased on its own or on a stand, whichever you prefer. The beautifully carved Waka Paddle makes a great gift for anyone, and could be an alternative to a 21st key, or given as a business or corporate gift.

Being hand carved, expect the odd minor imperfection, which only adds to the paddle's character.

The waka paddle is carved on one side with tiki, the Maori good luck symbol, and has a wheku (face) carved into the top of the handle. The eyes are made from native New Zealand paua (abalone) shell.

For a 21st gift or corporate gift, you could present the Waka Hoe on a stand, and we can get the stand engraved for an additional fee. The engraving will be on a gold plaque, or you can choose laser engraving into the wood, or paua engraving. Please note that paua engraving can only be up to 18 characters, and must be in CAPITALS.
The back of the hoe is rounded, so cannot be engraved. The stand is made from South Island pine.

ENGRAVING :
Steps:
a) Choose up to 5 words (or 18 characters if Paua engraving).
b) Select the Engraved option in the Option box below.
c) Enter your words in the Engraving Wording box. (If you can't see the Engraving Wording box, it means you haven't selected the Engraved option yet).
Allow 3-4 days for engraving. Please note that engraved items cannot be returned, aside for the unlikely event of the engraver getting the wording wrong.
