Te Reo Māori Snap Card Game

The Māori Snap Card Game focuses on Locations - like Outside, Beside, Under,. But it gets cleverer. Each location has 4 cards - one with just an image, one with the image plus Māori word, one with image plus English word, and one with image plus both Māori and English words.

When you play the game, you play it in the normal way you play Snap, but when you slap your hands down on the cards, you call out the Location word in Māori, rather than Snap! For young kids you may need to alter that, letting them say Snap and then using that moment as a teaching opportunity, to help them say the word in Māori.

The cards can also be used as flashcards, for your own learning or in a teaching situation.
