The Vortex Recon 15x50 Tactical Monocular is a unique, advanced tactical piece of premium optical equipment that is designed specifically for field surveillance and range estimating.
This hybrid optic offers a bridge between monocular and a very compact spotting scope and is the first of its kind in the Vortex line. The inbuilt ranging reticle offers extremely accurate range estimates at a moments notice, so you can quickly and easily estimate the range to your target.
As with all Vortex optics, the construction of this ranging monocular is best in its class. Built with high definition lenses that are fully multicoated, and phase corrected prisms, your Recon ranging scope provides bright, clear and crisp images, even in low light. The 50mm lens gathers plenty of light and the 15x magnification allows for detailed observation of distant subjects.
Your Recon ranging spotting scope from Vortex is built to withstand all that you, and the great outdoors can throw at it. The rugged construction is waterproof and fogproof and a rubber armour on the outside of the scope provides a secure, non-slip grip, and durable external protection.
Vortex have thought of everything when it comes to comfort and ease of use, with a flared, fold down eye cup to provide extra eye relief for those who wear glasses and to block out stray light. In addition, it rotates so the flared edge can be used with either eye.
For ease of storage, it has a utility clip that lets you easily hang the monocular on a belt, strap, Molle webbing, or pocket.
Your Recon monocular is built with 1/4"-20 threaded mounts on either side for a tripod or accessories, and the included Picatinny rail can be attached to it to accept a wide range of accessories. The stabilising hand grip can be attached to either side.
The ranging reticle uses MRAD-based subtensions and includes silhouettes for quick ranging. The angular measurements allow you to calculate ranges when comparing the reticle to objects of known dimension.
