The binoculars feature a high-quality optical system consisting of 8 elements in 6 groups, along with roof prisms made of BaK4 glass. These prisms are phase-corrected, and their reflective surfaces are coated with silver for enhanced brightness and sharpness. Additionally, all lens surfaces are treated with multi-layer FMC anti-reflection coatings, which ensure high light transmission and neutral colour reproduction, even in challenging lighting conditions.
The Forest II series includes a central focusing system and a diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece, ensuring that the binoculars can be quickly and accurately adjusted to suit individual eyesight. The twist-up rubber eyecups make these binoculars comfortable for all users, including those who wear glasses.
Built to withstand harsh weather conditions, the Forest II 12x50 binoculars are waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging. They can be submerged in water for up to 5 minutes at a depth of 1 metre, making them highly reliable in wet conditions.
