Rare Pictorial Lori Tribe Rug, This unusual tribal carpet illustrate and immortalises the legendry first meeting of Khosro & Shirin, the star crossed lovers who dominated pre-Islamic politics and romance in the 6th Century. He was the Sassanian Shah of Persia, she was the Princess of Armenia and their fate was told in an epic poem by Nizami in the 12th century. Fascinating to see how the tale continued to be relevant along with 19th century nomads.
