Furoshiki (Ōtautahi)

- Nov 9, 10am-12pm

Furoshiki is an ancient traditional Japanese fabric gift wrapping technique. In this workshop you’ll learn all about the fascinating traditions and customs associated with this craft. Ayumi will then show you how you can beautifully and skillfully wrap items such as boxes, books and bottles using fabric as a gift wrapping alternative to paper and plastic tape. Practising different knots for different purposes, you will also take home a wrap of your own.

Please note:

All materials will be provided.

Please feel free to bring any unusual shaped objects that you would like to learn how to wrap in this workshop.

This workshop is for adults.
