Whisk brush (Ōtepoti)

These multi-purpose whisk brushes are perfect for sweeping up those little messes such as crumbs on the bench, wood shavings on the workshop floor, or food off the highchair. Gemma will teach a European twining technique to make a strong, even length of tī kōuka leaf cordage (a string-making technique that can be applied across many other craft objects). This length will then be used to bind the tī kōuka fibres into a whisk-style hand broom.

All materials and tools will be provided.

Please bring an intention or job for your brush and if time allows we can work to tweak the brush for the specific job.
