DESIGNER'S NOTE

I first made this blazer in the early nineties, when I found myself obsessed with a Dirk Bikkenbergs suit that I had seen, but found that my bank balance didn’t quite match my sartorial aspirations!

This is my ode to the simplicity of that suit, and cleverly shaped to give the illusion of a waist that is just so flattering on everyone. The strong shoulders and curved bust line add to the slimming effect, and when it is made to fit you perfectly you just feel so fantastic in it.

It’s the perfect piece for formal occasions, and in crisp, cool ivory makes the perfect starting point for creating an elegant wedding suit.
