Wheat germ is the wheat grain embryo, that is produced as a by-product of milling process. It may contain small fragments of bran. It's an excellent source of thiamin and a good source of folate, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc. The germ also contains protein, fiber and some fat. It is perfect for adding extra dietary fibre, nutrition, and colour to baked goods, health & breakfast foods.
