Agrostemma githago | Light Rose

Also known as Corn Cockle, these lovely wildflowers are increasingly popular again in gardens as they make lovely cut flowers.

Their delicate blush pink petals sit atop of the stems and have lovely movement. Perfect in bouquets and posies.

Known in the past as a prolific wildflower, but knocked back hugely by weedsprays in the past, it's so good to see these making a comeback into the gardens.

We've packed a few of these into a pot but they divide easily for planting.

These will grow to 90cm tall on elegantly long stems. Stake in unsheltered aeas as they will fall over in strong winds.

They prefer a sunny spot to bloom well through spring and summer.
