Oxidation is step 2 of the 3 Step program. All chlorine pools and salt pools require regular oxidation especially over the swimming season. A more common term used for oxidation is a shock dose. Oxidation/shocking removes swimmer wastes and destroys organic contaminants in the water. The aim of regular oxidation is to keep the pool water sparkling and clear of impurities.

BioGuard Lite is a patented maintenance oxidiser. It has a special blend of oxidising and clarifying agents, so it’s more than just a shock dose of chlorine. What makes Lite really special is that swimmers can return to the pool one hour after the Lite was applied to the water. When you shock using standard chlorine the pool should not be used again until the chlorine drops down to the normal range again.
