String of Dolphins? Your eyes do not deceive you. This beautiful blue-green spike-free succulent that gets its name from its remarkable dolphin-shaped leaves. Senecio peregrinus loves to settle in a high position with plenty of bright light and left to do its thing. Ideal for a window sill or patio. Easy.

Caring for String of Dolphins Senecio peregrinus

Light:
Bright light is ideal. Handles some direct sun but summer afternoon sun may cause leaf burn.

Moisture & Soil:
Let the soil dry out between waterings. This succulent only needs occasional watering, higher frequency in summer, less frequent in winter. Drench and drain the soil completely or just add small amounts of water as a light top-up.

Growth & Nutrients:
A scrambling creeper in the wild, vines of Senecio radicans will send out aerial roots to form a mat. In a container, String of Fish Hooks sends out new shoots from the base of the plant as well as along each vine. Encourage more branches or control the length by pinching off the tip or pruning at the desired length.


Temperature, Humidity & Ambient requirements:
Prefers warm environments inside or in protected patios in frost-free areas.

Toxicity:
Toxic to pets and people. Don't chomp down on this ever.
