The Team Losi Racing® 8IGHT-X™ ELITE buggy builds on the championship-winning heritage of its predecessors with updates to the suspension geometry and drivetrain as well as the chassis layout that make it both easier to drive and tougher to beat. This version of the popular 8IGHT-X™ is what avid racers and team members are looking for in a winning buggy. It includes all of the desired factory team option parts and many updates in a one-box purchase. The drivetrain as well as the chassis layout have been completely redesigned making it easier to drive on the track and work on in the pit. Additionally, the new ELITE chassis increases stability and is designed to work for all drivers and be more accepted worldwide. The 8IGHT-X ELITE now includes the option parts our elite level race team utilizes to win races around the world, thus making for a vehicle that is high level competition ready right out of the box. Included option parts are carbon center diff brace, 3.5mm shock shafts, aluminum front brace, front universals, 10mm wing riser, quick change engine mount, wider hexes, new pistons, carbon fiber arm inserts, poly-carbonate wing, and updated rear CVA axle.

7075-3mm Aluminum Chassis

An ELITE chassis that moves weight forward and decreases wheelbase is included to give the car more overall grip. Chassis width has been increased from the 4.0 to X to aid in stability and give the buggy a more neutral feel.

Updated rear CVAs

The 8IGHT-X ELITE will include rear CVAs with an updated axle and shaft providing more overall rear grip to the car and better tracking through the bumpy conditions.

Front Universals included

The 8IGHT-X ELITE will includes updated universals for the front which makes the car smoother existing turns and aids in the flow in bumpy track conditions.

Updated Radio Tray

An updated radio tray now puts the throttle servo near the engine to eliminate additional linkage. The updated radio tray will ensure the throttle servo is rigidly mounted to avoid any flex by floating the servo off of the center differential.

Aluminum Front Brace

The 8IGHT-X ELITE includes an updated aluminum front brace that provides smoother steering response.

1 Hexes

Updated 1mm width hexes are included for the rear of the 8IGHT-X ELITE to add stability in high speed turns.

Two Wings and Wing Riser

The 8IGHT-X ELITE includes updates to both the Ifmar wing as well as our polycarbonate wing. We also include a 10mm wing riser for added rear grip.

One Piece Quick Change Engine Mount

The 8IGHT-X ELITE includes our option quick change one piece version of the engine mount for easier maintenance.

Steering Rack

The steering rack allows more ackerman adjustments and an improved servo saver to eliminate bellcrank bind during high loads.

Bleeder Shock Caps

Updated machined aluminum shock caps with threaded bleeder holes for easy and consistent bleeding of oil. New bladders are also included for better bump handling.

Suspension Arms

Webbing added between inner mounting tabs to ensure hinge pin fitment. Mold updated to increase strength. Suspension arms have been designed to accept stiffener plates that will allow racers to tune the flex of the suspension. The Elite kit will include both molded plates and carbon plates.
