Composting Toilet

This simple composting toilet comes as a flat pack to use in many situations - tiny home, caravan, boat, cabin, your home. Crafty Gatherer have used untreated plywood with stainless steel hinges and screws;it has been created so that no flies can enter, unlike other systems on the market.

Let’s talk about humanure; our poo essentially, and how we take this precious resource and use its fertility instead of flushing it away to a treatment plant, the ocean or to a tank. Water is a valuable resource and so is our humanure, by recycling the nutrients back onto the land instead of creating pollution somewhere else, we are increasing our resiliency skills.

Please note: This system has been designed for a 20l bucket, these are not included with the flat pack system. You can gather 20l buckets from Mitre 10, Bunnings, recycled buckets or old ones from bakeries/cafes who buy products in bulk.
