Attractive tree to 20 m high with a weeping form bearing leaves up to 170mm long that have equal-sized yellowish-hairy leaflets 2-8mm long on drooping branches. Yellow flowers in spring. Juvenile form has zig-zagging branches. Naturally occurring in Central North Island. Widely planted as a street tree.
