A native New Zealand sedge found along coastlines and in sand dunes. It's become less common due to coastal changes. The roughly textured leaves are yellow/green when fresh and golden when dry, forming dense tufts on upright stems. Its extensive root system captures water and sustains the plant through dry conditions. Excellent for coastal plantings and sand dune stabilisation.
