- hand carved for us by Shaun Gardiner. Shaun has used a beautiful bright green New Zealand Jade which he has highlighted with a highly POLISHED finish. The jade has lovely cloudy and black speckled inclusions - reminiscent of what you might see in dappled colours with a hint of mystery!

We've paired this lovely manaia with a Manuka Green coloured adjustable cord and Olive Popper.

There is plenty of detail in - the body of the manaia is decorated with a hook in the shape of a very finely carved fish tail. All in all this is a very precise, delicate carving that looks fantastic worn high on the neck.

The head of a bird, a deep, solid heart and a fishtail - a medium sized pendant with a big impact.

The Manaia: a mythical being believed to be the invisible light, or aura, surrounding a person. They represent spiritual power and are believed to be the guide that leads the spirits to heaven. They are worn to guide and protect.

The Hook: The wearer of a Hei-Matau is seen as a provider and protector who is strong willed and determined to succeed in life - what a lovely sentiment to gift to someone important to you.

This pendant will be delivered to you with Express Courier on a hand plaited adjustable cord.
