PUPURI

A beautiful toki pendant carved in New Zealand argillite stone by artist and carver, Rueben Tipene.

This piece is a fabulous slate grey colour which is perfect for this subtle design. The koru is finely carved into the lower third of the front face, and is visible when the light plays across the face of the carving. This is best seen in the brief video we have made of the pendant slowly revolving.

Adorn yourself with and carry a piece of New Zealand with you everywhere - a perfect piece for those full of wanderlust and adventure! Carved from New Zealand Pākohe, Argillite

A LITTLE ABOUT THE TOKI'S MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE.

The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength - the adze was a key survival tool, used to build, hunt and defend. Traditionally, the toki is worn to provide strength and courage, to assist through life's challenges, and the koru is a symbol of rebirth, growth and new beginnings.

lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
