This particular stone is called Marsden after the region the jade comes from. It is prized by carvers for its consistency and quality - artists like to work with Marsden jade because its quality allows a lot of freedom to create and carve.

In skilled hands, some beautiful work is produced from Marsden jade - this is a wonderful example of 'carving to the stone'. Ric has produced a beautiful, large koru that is carved to best present the jade's natural attributes.

is a lifetime piece, a pendant that we would like to think will be worn daily and remain in a family as a legacy piece.
