- carved from a gnarly piece of deer antler.

This wonderful pendant was carved for us by Fumio Noguchi. It is quite beautiful and displays his typical, creative flair. In the front side Fumio has carved a pair of intertwined silver fern leaves. These are a symbol of the future - new beginnings, fresh life. On the back is a bird claw imprint - the print of the mighty moa. A massive bird that once roamed the New Zealand bush.

is a a wonderful example of Fumio's attention to detail. If you have wandered through the New Zealand bush and taken the time to look closely at the finest fern fronds you will recognise the accuracy of his carving here. The standard of his craftsmanship is superb.
