A small yet striking deep green New Zealand Pounamu half shield with Koru heart pendant, hand carved for us by Kyohei Noguchi.

New Zealand jade is no ordinary stone - the Pounamu chosen by the waters are believed to carry the voice of the land itself. Kyohei has used this stone to craft a half-shield pendant, a shape believed to offer protection to its wearer. At the bottom edge, he has carved a delicate koru, the unfurling fern frond, symbolising new beginnings and perpetual growth.
