In the artists words below.

This simple taonga combines bone, copper and Pāua. It is named Aroha Parakore which means pure love.

The design on the front represents the spiritual nature of the universe and this governs the material realm. This is depicted by the triune pattern on the top half of the taonga. The copper inlay is conductive, symbolises this integration that enables the human wholeness.

The pāua inlay symbolises the divine essence of the Wairua Tapu who leads us in all truth.

This symbology is continued on the back and depicts pure love that is flowing from the highest unchanging creator Atua towards us. In turn, our heart filled and overflows with the source of pure love. This love to the Creator and extends out towards others.

This is a medium sized piece, intricately carved and beautiful to wear.
