Gillian McDonald

Gillian McDonald is an acclaimed British landscape artist, who specialises in painting the remoter parts of the UK. She seeks out the dramatic locations that inspire her romantic, contemporary and atmospheric images.

She studied at at College in London before settling in the Welsh countryside. As well as her paintings she has a range of limited edition prints of her work.

Her innate understanding of the subtleties of different light effects and her bold use of colour are the hallmarks that make for the harmony of her highly collectable paintings and prints.
