The Assembly Line - Blazer

The Assembly Line Blazer is a classic - with a slightly oversized fit; a classic collar with lapel; and a unique pocket flap with fake pocket – the pocket opening is instead hidden in the front side seam. The jacket features a single button closure, back slits and a mock sleeve slit.

The pattern includes an unlined version as well as a lined sleeve version.

Currently available in size range XS-L.
The straight and medium-wide shape gives an easy fit so use your chest measurement for sizing. See last image for details.

Difficulty: Advanced

Suitable fabrics: Medium to heavyweight suitings or lightweight coatings with surface texture such as wool suiting, velvet, cotton drill, medium-heavy weight cotton and linen may also be used. Please note: tightly woven, smooth surfaced suitings like wool gabardine are not recommended since they can be difficult to fuse using an iron.

140-150 cm fabric width

You will also need:

- Fusible interfacing

- 1 x 20mm button

- 8 x 10mm button (sleeves)

- Bias binding for bottom hem (optional): XS 120 cm, S 125 cm, M 135 cm, L 145 cm
- Bias binding for bottom hem front and back facing edges (optional): XS 285 cm, S 300 cm, M 315 cm, L 330 cm
- Pair of small shoulder pads (optional)
- For removable shoulder pads (optional): Velcro (hook and loop) 2 x 8 cm
