John James Chenille Needles

Chenille needles have a long eye like a tapestry needle, but with a sharp point that makes it easier to penetrate closely woven cloth rather than a counted weave.

The longer eye means that this type of needle is suitable for thicker or multi-stranded threads used for crewel embroidery as well as ribbon embroidery.
