Mānuka Honey 125+ MGO

Aotea's Mānuka Honey is sourced sustainably from our hives on Aotea (Great Barrier Island). As the island is covered in Tea Tree, their Mānuka Honey is free from other blends with a certified MGO (Methylglyoxal) rating of 125. Aotea care about their bees so they make sure they only take what they can spare; it is super important that the bees keep the lion's share so they are able to thrive throughout the winter.

Uses:
Mānuka honey's non-peroxide activity kills harmful bacteria on the back of throat.
The properties of mānuka honey help speed up the healing process while amplifying the regeneration of skin tissues.

Science:
The science on mānuka honey is well documented. When glucose oxidase (an enzyme incorporated into honey by bees) reacts with glucose and oxygen molecules (moisture in the skin) it produces hydrogen peroxide which kills bacteria. This can be used both topically and is 100% natural way of curing a sore throat or treating skin irritation and issues.
