Oscar Low Oscar Low is a Tāmaki/Auckland based artist who has made and exhibited art since 1998. Operating as a non-de-plume to accompany the public art practice made under the name TrustMe, Oscar Low's work is the studio based side of the same artist. The use of typographic elements has been an ever present feature of his work, evolving over time to now operate as a source for the abstracted forms that feature in his current work. This seemingly retrograde step in the treatment of letterforms stems from an observation that in a world overflowing with messages, perhaps a more meaningful contribution to discourse is one that marks the absence of words.
